Beautiful Ladies of Genre Christmas Special

Instead of a review this week, I wanted to bring you some Christmas Cheer in the form of some great looking ladies celebrating Christmas. Next week check back on Thursday when the Ladies of the Lair will be reviewing the classic tale of a Christmas present gone awry, Gremlins, and I'll be back the next week on Christmas Eve with a special treat for the holiday. Also check back tomorrow for another great film to get you into the holiday spirit. Without further ado, let's bring on the ladies.....

  1. Miss Piggy from A Very Muppet Christmas, which is HIGHLY underrated and an absolutely hysterical tv movie from a few years back. Fine choice.

  3. I somehow knew that the picture of Miss Piggy would get some comments.

@ Emily- I love all Muppet movies, even the bad one, and I'll watch the new one's just see see Pepe the Prawn!

@ Rev- What? Piggy is damn cute, and you can't say that Muppet movies aren't genre fare. Now I'm not saying that I would date Piggy a la Charles Grodin in Great Muppet Caper, but in the next life if I return as an anthropomorphic talking frog, I should be so lucky!

  4. Pepe is a fantastic character. It's rare that a long-running franchise can introduce a new character successfully (aah, Poochie), but he's an absolute blast and gets some great moments in AVMC. Plus, Scooter cage dances!!!

And as far as Muppet/human relations go, I'm not ashamed to admit that I would totally marry Rowlf the dog. That scratchy voice, those brown eyes, that laid back attitude...you know he gets tail. Deservedly so.

  5. Somehow I can see Rowlf being quite the lady killer, but if I were a lady I would have to go with Fozzie Bear. What can I say other than Wokka Wokka?

  6. Wow, who's that under the Betty Grable pic?

  7. I wish I could tell you. I couldn't identify the model/actress, but I loved the picture so much I had to use it.

  8. Glad you like it, and thanks for becoming a follower Tom.

  9. Fozzie Bear is way too needy. It'd be like dating Telly from Sesame Street.

Yes, I've given these matters way too much thought.
